Anjie Coates

During her 34 years in the grooming industry, Anjie spent as much of it learning about every aspect of not only grooming but about business. She knew she had to share the knowledge she had gained and began teaching grooming, and business so others could learn the secrets of her success. This has also led her to teach Pet Tech First Aid & CPR classes for pet professionals and pet owners alike. Her passion for continuing education shows through in her achieving CMRG  (Certified Master Rabbit Groomer) as well as CCE, ACG, and PGC. This brand ambassador for All For Groomers is currently publishing the first rabbit grooming book in the industry.

Ashley Hanvey

Ashley Hanvey began her career in Dog Grooming in 2010. She is the owner of That Scrumptious Pooch, LLC a Mobile Dog Grooming Business in Easley, South Carolina. She has multiple certifications including International Certified Pet Groomer, Petcare Dermatech Specialist, Master Pet Aesthetician, Certified Canine Esthetician, and AKC S.A.F.E Certified. She is currently pursuing DAATA-ICDG certification as well as the Master Groomer Behavior Specialist certification. She maintains membership with The International Society of Canine Cosmetologists, The Association of Holistic Pet Professionals, and Pawsitiveed. Her goal is to perfect “A Whole Approach to your Dogs Wellbeing” through extensive continuing education and lots of love and patience for her furry clients.

Barb Hoover

Barb has been active in the pet grooming industry since 1985.She has recently earned her CCE and NCMG status. Believing in the importance of continuing education, Barb organizes, attends and teaches classes throughout the country on all aspects of the grooming industry. She has been interviewed by, and written articles for various trade magazines, been nominated for several Barkleigh Honors awards and won the prestigious David G. Salzberg Cardinal Crystal Achievement Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Grooming Industry in 2007. Her book, The Difficult Dog, was awarded the 2018 Barkleigh Honor Award for Book of the Year.

Chrissy Neumyer Smith

Chrissy Neumyer Smith CPG, CBCC-KA, CPDT-KA, MGBS, FFCP started working with dogs in 1986. She started Happy Critters in 2000 providing house call dog grooming and private dog training. As a groomer, behavior consultant, trainer, and former vet tech she understands the unique needs of the grooming setting. She started the Creating Great Grooming Dogs podcast in 2018 to help groomers, trainers, veterinarians, veterinary technicians, owners, and other dog pros to teach dogs to be good for grooming, vet visits, and other types of physical care. The podcast won a Professional Grooming Industry Educator award in 2019. She teaches the Master Groomer Behavior Specialist(MGBS) diploma program at the Whole Pet Grooming Academy in Portsmouth NH.

Kate Klasen

Kate Klasen is the owner of a holistic pet spa, Balanced Paws in AZ. She is Fear Free certified, a Reiki master, crystal healer, and certified canine esthetician. Kate is also certified through Science Dog on canine nutrition and teaches classes on pet foods. She brought her passions together when she formed The Frontline Coalition with Malinda Malone, where she brings in her past experience as a first responder and teaches emergency preparedness skills for people and pets, including Pet Tech CPR/First Aid. The Frontline Coalition teaches human CPR/First Aid and is an official training center for the American Safety & Health Institute. Kate is also certified to teach the American Heart Association curriculum as well.

 Kate has recently studied sound therapy through Pima College and  paired up with Iso-Sync Labs for their pet line of calming tones which was released in August 2021. Kate also works with a holistic veterinarian and has added in PEMF treatments into her salon modalities. Kate’s passion as a WHOLE-istic practitioner is to bring light onto the whole perspective of the animal from the inside and out. 

Malissa Conti-Diener

Malissa Conti-Diener is the owner of and Both focus on Holistic Pet Grooming, through education for both the groomer and the client. As a compassionate groomer and Master Lightworker, Malissas’ goal has always been to see the grooming experience from the pets perspective. Her main goal has always been to create an energetic connection with the animals she works with. Specializing in a natural approach to both Cats and Dogs, has helped her grow her business spanning over 20-years. Malissa also is a master holistic feline groomer, cultivating a safe space for felines to experience grooming. Being an in demand Holistic Pet Business coach and consultant, as  well as a respected educator has led her to share her talents. As a Master  Animal Aromatherapist and Master Animal Massage Therapist. Her goal is to blend all things Holistic and pet grooming, into her unique style of alchemy. She is a founding (board) member and Treasurer for the Association of Holistic Pet Professionals. Creating a community for all holistic pet professionals to come together, learn and grow. When not working on educating  professional pet groomers, coaching or consulting, Malissa enjoys spending time with her animals, practicing yoga , journaling, meditating, and gardening the very plants she uses in her own holistic grooming practice.

Melissa Jepson

Popular speaker and Barkleigh Honors Up and Coming Speaker of the Year 2021 winner Melissa Jepson has owned and operated the award winning grooming salon Pupscale Pet Salon in Montclair, California since 2013. As a founding member of the Association of Holistic Pet Professionals she believes deeply in creating a soothing, well rounded environment for all aspects of the grooming salon. She is thrilled to partner with Precision Sharp to offer high quality, American made products and also enjoys teaching webinars through Pawsitive Educational Training when she is not traveling at trade shows. Grooming for nearly two decades and developing a comprehensive knowledge base have made it possible to impart a fresh take with practical, day to day applications for her students. A life-long learner with the heart of a teacher and the soul of an artist, Melissa excels at communicating and is passionate about sharing knowledge with others.

Michelle Knowles

Michelle Knowles, MPAe, ICMG, owner of All Things Paw, has over 30 years of experience as a private and professional pet care provider. Michelle is a Certified Master Groomer and a Master Pet Aesthetician. She has apprenticed, volunteered, worked, owned, and managed in salons, kennels, zoos, and veterinary hospitals across the country. Michelle has also been trained in Tuscany, Italy in therapeutic work, hand stripping and advanced dermatological care. She has a broad experience in pet skin and coat care, extensive experience with fear and trauma recovery, elderly pets, and a focus on managing allergic/dermatological disorders. Michelle is certified through NDGAA and IPG, teaches advanced pet aesthetics at the Whole Pet Grooming Academy, mediates on the Master Groomer Council of Best Practices, and is a nationally recognized speaker in her field.

Samantha Neitzke-Palya

Samantha Palya started her grooming career in the year of 1996 at Great Lakes Academy of Professional Pet Styling. She entered her first competition at the All American Grooming Show in 1996. From then she earned placements in poodles, and handstripping in her division. She was awarded Best Groomer and Best Groomed Dog in Show for a handstipped terrier at Groom Expo in 1998. She is the proud owner of Absolutely Pawfect Pet Styling, Inc. and The Enrichment Stylist Pet BusinessConsulting and Education. Samantha apprentices to help give
opportunities to future pet care professionals. She holds certificates as a Pet Tech Instructor, Skin and Hair, Salon Sanitation, Canine Body Language, Dog Gurus College, Pricing for profits, Communications Skills Leader, Heroes for Healthy Pets, and many more. Samantha is the creator of Enrichment Grooming in which she introduced it to the pet care industry this year as a speaker and educator.
