Anjie Coates

Anjie Coates has been grooming for 33 years and is co-owner of a very successful salon. She also enjoys grooming rabbits and taking pictures of the finished groom for every pet she grooms. She will show you how to market your small mammal grooming, as well as how to incorporate photography into your business.

Brittany Kanto

Brittany is currently a groomer in Puyallup Washington who specializes in Hand-stripping and Social Media Marketing and Networking. Brittany is currently a Zolitta ambassador. She is certified in Non-Sporting & Terriers, and a Division C competitive groomer. She hopes her knowledge and advice can bring confidence to your social media posts and salons.

Denise Heroux

Denise Heroux has over 25 years of grooming experience, is an educator and speaker, and owns Awesome Paws Pet Salon; a Cleveland-based chain with 3 locations with active plans for expansion. Her most addition was opening a cat exclusive salon dedicated to a low stress grooming experience. Awesome Paws fosters a healthy environment for employees and pets with a focus on employee investment and learning. While managing all locations and a staff of over 23 employees, Denise finds time to work with the local pet pantry to help with donations, attends events to aid local pet charities and founded the Ohio Professional Pet Groomers Association. This association focuses on setting a higher standard for pet safety, business-building opportunities, versatile learning experiences, and creating legislative fluidity in the industry. Denise has given live seminars on business subjects at industry events, and you may have listened to her on both the Women PetPreneurs and Small Business Hiring podcasts. She is passionate and dedicated to help create good work environments for business owners and employees.

Erin Martin

Erin Martin got her start in grooming in 2004.  She started All About Paws Pet Spa with her business partner in 2013, and it has grown into a successful grooming spa in the community.  In February of 2020, she began her journey in the competition ring.  In the same year, Erin began teaching webinars in the grooming industry.  Her love of creative grooming inspired her to start The Creative Groomer, a creative grooming supply company, and the first subscription box geared towards creative groomers in the industry  .  She is currently a Secretary of the CPPGA (California Professional Pet Groomers Association).  She is a member of the IJA traveling model dog competition team of 2022. She has had multiple 1st placements (including Best In Show) in both on stage and online with her grooms, including her creative grooms.

Malissa Conti-Diener

Malissa Conti-Diener is the owner of GetGroomified.com and TheOilyGroomer.com. Both focus on Holistic Pet Grooming, through education for both the groomer and the client. As a compassionate groomer and Master Lightworker, Malissas’ goal has always been to see the grooming experience from the pets perspective. Her main goal has always been to create an energetic connection with the animals she works with. Specializing in a natural approach to both Cats and Dogs, has helped her grow her business spanning over 20-years. Malissa also is a master holistic feline groomer, cultivating a safe space for felines to experience grooming. Being an in demand Holistic Pet Business coach and consultant, as  well as a respected educator has led her to share her talents. As a Master  Animal Aromatherapist and Master Animal Massage Therapist. Her goal is to blend all things Holistic and pet grooming, into her unique style of alchemy. She is a founding (board) member and Treasurer for the Association of Holistic Pet Professionals. Creating a community for all holistic pet professionals to come together, learn and grow. When not working on educating  professional pet groomers, coaching or consulting, Malissa enjoys spending time with her animals, practicing yoga , journaling, meditating, and gardening the very plants she uses in her own holistic grooming practice.

Mary Oquendo

Mary Oquendo is a professional speaking strategist who works with seasoned as well as novice professional pet speakers. Mary understands the importance of not just encouraging the next generation of educators, but to give them the tools to effectively present and organize their knowledge to the next generation of pet professionals in an easy to digest manner, along with the necessary technical skills to keep ahead of the competition.

Mary is the host of two award winning podcasts, The Traveling Groomers & Women Petprenures.

Mary has worked with thousands of students and has beamed with pride 

as she watched as professional pet educators reach and change the lives of their students. 

Mary was awarded the 2012 David Salzberg Outstanding Contribution To The Pet Industry.

Mary was first nominated for a Barkleigh Honors Award in 2012 and has been every year since.

.Before founding Pawsitive Educational Training, Mary has spoken and continues to speak at numerous professional pet educational conferences since 2006, as well as been published in Groomer To Groomer and Natural Awakenings magazines as columnists.

Mary got her start in the pet industry in 1998, when she answered a help wanted sign at a corporate grooming facility and in 2002 operated Pawsitively Pretty Mobile Grooming Salon until she retired in 2019.

Mary’s first student was a mobile grooming client who was coerced into taking her pet first aid class. Once the class ended, 

her client hugged her and thanked her. From there it was no stopping her.

Meg Ioffredo

Meg Ioffredo is a lifelong learner who seeks to become her best self. In early 2021, she became a certified feline master groomer (CFMG). Now she is turning her sights to her journey to be a nationally certified master groomer (NCMG). Meg is within months of achieving the internationally certified pet esthetician (ICPE) title through the NAPCG. She is also fear-free certified and CPR/pet first aid certified. When not grooming, Meg pursues a psychology degree, writes and reads various genres, and works to grow her social media management business.

Misty Gieczys

Misty is an IGA Certified Master Groomer and has won many Best in Shows, Best All Around Groomer. She was on the US Gold Winning Model Dog Team in Taiwan and took BIS Creative. She won the Cardinal Crystal Grooming Achievement Award for her Charity “Groomers for Groomers.” Nominated for Creative Groomer Barkleigh Honors and awarded IJA Creative Groomer. Misty started grooming in 2005 and helped open 3 other salons.  She owns 2 upscale salons in Columbus Ohio with a staff of 16; Designer Paws Salon. 1st opened in 2013 and second in 2018 with receiving multiple service awards.
